The sky is the limit when it comes to yoga and adventure.

I invite you to a week of exploration!

My passion for yoga, travel and new adventures brought me to Blue Osa four years ago and I look forward to returning every single year and introducing my students the power of yoga and adventure.

Gather your intentions and pack light because the only thing needed here is you and an open mind.

If you are a morning person, a silent sunrise walk will put you in tune with your meditation practice. If not, wait until you taste a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea and enjoy the sounds of crashing waves and a waking jungle. Those who wish to enjoy extra time in bed can energize with a light breakfast composed of fresh fruits and granola.

Another adventure in your yoga journey begins.

Silently make your way to the Yoga Deck where morning practice will take place, we’ll gather and break silence becoming one with the jungle and sea.

Whether your intention is invigorating or restorative, choose as you wish. I will guide you through a light meditation process, sun salutations and then provide you the tools so actions follows that intention of freedom in your morning practice.

After practice you can pick your own adventure, but first, treat yourself to a fresh farm to table brunch prepared with the most natural and local products you can find.

Savor each bite, let your taste buds go wild and enjoy the freshness and richness of what the Costa Rican soil can offer.

We all have a different sense of adventure!

At Blue Osa you can be as mild or wild as you want.

Sitting by the pool enjoying the flying macaws and visiting monkeys is an option, it’s also, a stroll on the beach or a swim, a surf lesson or kayak adventure.

You can also choose to enjoy one of the many Spa Services that Blue Osa offers.

Those who would like to take the adventure outside Blue Osa and explore the surrounding can enjoy one of the many Jungle and Ocean Tours available.

We'll meet for afternoon practice and will be guided through a gentle sequence followed by arm balances or inversions on some nights, Partner Yoga or Yoga Nidra during others.

Relax - Refresh - Restore

Taking some time to freshen up with a shower or during Happy ½ Hour is highly recommended.

Connecting with each other about the day’s happenings before sitting for a family style dinner.

Prepare yourself to be awed once again by the delicacies coming from the Blue Osa kitchen.

Your comfortable accommodations will provide the much needed rest and get you ready for next day's adventures.

You get to experience this magic again and again for the rest of your time at Blue Osa.

Join me and explore the adventurous yogi within!

The adventurous yogi

I was first drawn to yoga by seeing a friend demonstrate a headstand and signed up for a Power Vinyasa Yoga class the following weekend. Right in the middle of summer in Miami, in a naturally heated and humidified yoga studio, I experience my first yoga class. The combination of heat and flow was extremely challenging and brought out in me the will to try harder. I continued taking classes, committed to the practice, and along the way experienced other forms of yoga such as Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha. Here I realized I was onto something.

After moving to Philadelphia in late 2009 I found mentor Joan Gordon she gave me a taste of Anusara yoga, focusing on technique, alignment and breathing. As the snowy winter of 2010 intensified I took classes at Power Yoga Works for a physically challenging yoga practice that made me feel back home in the tropics. It was then I realized it was time to share the benefits of yoga with others, and enrolled at Power Yoga Works for the 2010 Summer Teacher Training.

Once I completed training I started teaching middle school kids at the 21st Century After-school Program and found great satisfaction in making a change in the lives of inner city kids. Anjali Power Yoga became home, here I grew as a student and shared my love for teaching. In August 2012 I had the opportunity to attend Yogi Aaron's Yoga Teachers Retreat at Blue Osa in Costa Rica, a week of yoga immersion could not end without a transformation. One year later I found myself bringing my students and other yogis from around the world to Blue Osa, exposing them to the same environment that had turned me into a different person.

With a Baptiste inspired practice I guide students through a Slow Power Flow class that focuses on anatomy, alignment and breathing. Safety is very important to me and very often the doctor within just comes out! When I'm not teaching or doing clinical research, I take care of orchid my orchid and rare plant collection, cook and travel or you'll find me volunteering for the Lupus Foundation of America.

It's a pleasure to be back at Blue Osa Yoga Retreat & Spa in 2015. I'm looking forward to meeting the yogis that will join this adventure. See you in Costa Rica!

Blessings,
